MVP. 10-05-2023 06:36 PM - edited 10-05-2023 06:39 PM. The Quest 3 Touch Plus controllers still use a AA battery by default. These could be NiMH or lithium ion rechargeables if you want. If you buy the Quest 3 charging dock, it comes with 2 special batteries with a replacement battery cover built in with charging contacts.
When they get low, I put them in the charger and swap in two that I already have charged. With 6 NiMh batteries total, I can keep an Xbox controller and the Quest 3 controllers always working. I don't know if there was a controller update that fixed it or what happened, but I've been having good luck with them. 1 Kudo.

A controller factory reset resets the controller firmware itself. To perform a factory reset on the Quest 3 controllers: 1. Use the correct button combination to start the factory reset process. Right: Hold the A button and tap the Home (Meta logo) button 5 times. Left: Hold the X button and tap the Menu button 5 times.
