Just 3 weeks ago, a US citizen who was imprisoned by Ukraine for criticizing Zelensky died in prison at 55: few of our über-patriots cared. They don't care when Israel guns down US citizens in the West Bank or Gaza. Or when the US Govt destroys Assange for exposing its crimes. Putin is an authoritarian.

Glenn continually sneering at the line about how everyone already knew that Twitter was shadow banning etc. suggests to me that he is coming at this from a very partisan angle. It's about drumming up the idea that this is something new and outrageous, without challenging the systems that enabled this to happen in the first place.

This twitter thread links to many sources showing Greenwald's history defending alt-right types, including literal neo-nazis, in court. He supported right-wing, John Birch, libertarian Ron Paul, and contributed to right wing think tanks like Cato.
Greenwald is a public individual. The test a judge would use is whether or not a "reasonable person" would have the ability to figure out if that was actually Greenwald or not. Since the username is different, and one could simply Google "Glenn Greenwald Twitter" and his actual account is the top result, it would be an easy case.
The blog in question is a daily read for me, they dunk on Greenwald regularly, and the commentariat are salty and cranky as hell but quite pro trans and vicious to anti-trans trolls. Very telling Greenwald tweet where he highlights countries banning 'fake news' and leaves out Russia. There are now countries with laws banning and punishing "fake news": Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Qatar (where those guilty of "fake news" can be jailed for 5 years). The results are exactly what you'd expect: dissent is deemed "false" or dangerous.
