It is the state butterfly of Tennessee.
Artogeia rapae (Linnaeus, 1758) Pieris rapae is a small- to medium-sized butterfly species of the whites-and-yellows family Pieridae. It is known in Europe as the small white, in North America as the cabbage white or cabbage butterfly, [ note 1] on several continents as the small cabbage white, and in New Zealand as the white butterfly. Morpho peleides, the Peleides blue morpho, common morpho[ 1] or the emperor[ 2][ 3] is an iridescent tropical butterfly found in Mexico, Central America, northern South America, Paraguay and Trinidad. Most authorities [ 4] believe that peleides is a subspecies of Morpho helenor. [ 5]
