Sophie Turner plays real-life character Joan Hannington, a figure known as "the Godmother" by certain aspects of the British criminal underworld. Paul Frift serves as producer and the series is directed by Richard Laxton.
The series was announced for ITVX in September 2023. It is from writer and director duo Ed Whitmore and Marc Evans. [2] Philippa Langdale also directs episodes. Production comes from Buffalo Pictures, and the producers are Philippa Braithwaite and Evie Bergson-Korn.
