Northeastern University ( NU or NEU) is a private research university with its main campus in Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1898, it was founded by the Boston Young Men's Christian Association as an all-male institute before being incorporated as Northeastern College in 1916, gaining university status in 1922.
The Hunnan Campus of Northeastern University is located at 195 Chuangxin Road, Hunnan District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, China. It is situated 16 kilometers away from the university's Nanhu Campus. The campus covers an area of 890,000 square meters and has a planned construction area of 970,000 square meters.
A year later, in February 2020, NCH at Northeastern was granted its own taught degree awarding powers. It was awarded university title and changed its name to "Northeastern University – London" after regulatory approval by the Office for Students in July 2022. In 1936 and 1937, its dean was Stephen A. Caldwell. [5] Its name changed again in 1949, to Northeast Junior College of Louisiana State University.

It was the first college in the United States dedicated to the field of computer science when it was founded in 1982.
