The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar , Mouni Roy , Amit Sadh , Kunal Kapoor , Vineet Kumar Singh , Sunny Kaushal and Nikita Dutta .
Written by the group's creator Frank Farian, along with George Reyam and Fred Jay, it is a song about Grigori Rasputin, a friend and advisor of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family during the early 20th century. The song describes Rasputin as a playboy, mystical healer, political manipulator and Russia's greatest love machine.
In 1956, the song "Rasik Balma" from the film Chori Chori by Shankar-Jaikishan won the Best Song Filmfare Award. Lata refused to sing it live in protest of absence of a Playback Singer category. The category was finally introduced in 1959. Though, separate awards for male & female singers were introduced later on.
