Below are the current patches offered by the American Legion that are sanctioned for official use from Emblem who makes them. There are really only 3 you need to get started and then there are a lot of options.
A two (2)-piece patch has been adopted by the NMALR Association for wear on the back of the vest or jacket. Nothing is to be worn above this patch. The back of the vest or jacket will consist of the following: The American Legion Riders Association patch centered on the back.
The Virginia State Patch is to be worn on the front lower right. The POW/MIA patch is to be worn on the front lower left. The large round “American Legion Riders” patch is on the back, with our designation of “Northern Virginia” above the large round patch.
The large American Legion Rider patch shall have the word “NEVADA” embroidered below the eagle in gold, bock letters. The patch shall be sewn on the back of the vest, centered from side-to-side, and in such a position that allows a Post Number, upper rocker to be sewn across the shoulder blades.
