Does anyone know of any public access points to Spring Creek in Cooke County? I understand this is a prime spot to find ammonites, but I haven't been able to find a location on Spring Creek where the public can search. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. The issue with the Orlando area is the geology. The fossil layers are not well exposed there and the overburden layer is quite thick. Even if you find a creek or ditch, it is unlikely to be deep enough to expose the fossiliferous strata. In most of the Peace River basin, the overburden layer is thin or the fossil layer is ...

Bob-ay. I have hunted the Shark River, NJ quite a few times and never really found the best quality of teeth or fossils. Very hard terrain to search...Yesterday we went out for 3 hours and had the best trip yet. We were surface scanning only, no sifting.. A few nice size SandTiger Teeth plus a few others not pictured.

I agree with Brock, You can do some incredibly detailed work with the 9100 and do it much faster than the ARO 8315-B, but for truly detailed work you would need one of the micro scribes that Paleo has. Here is a pic of both the 9100 and the ARO showing the obvious size difference.
