Joseph Henry Sharp. Joseph Henry Sharp (September 27, 1859 – August 29, 1953) was an American painter and a founding member of the Taos Society of Artists, of which he is considered the "Spiritual Father". [1] Sharp was one of the earliest European-American artists to visit Taos, New Mexico, which he saw in 1893 with artist John Hauser. [2]
The Grand Pacific Junction is an historic district in Olmsted Falls, Ohio . The district contains several buildings dating back to the mid-1800s, such as the Grand Pacific Hotel. The hotel and other buildings were renovated during the 1990s and are occupied today by retail establishments.
The Portsmouth Earthworks is a large mound complex constructed by the Ohio Hopewell culture (100 BCE to 500 CE). The site was one of the largest ceremonial centers constructed by the Hopewell and is located at the confluence of the Scioto and Ohio Rivers. The majority of the site is now covered by the city of Portsmouth in Scioto County, Ohio.
