Sony official update v4.91 is live! This system software update improves system performance. Built from the latest source code lv2_kernel.self and vsh.self (same as 4.89), S0ny built the 4.90 using the old 4.80 source code. Spoiler: Layout issues introduced in FW 4.89 are still not fixed.
Make a folder named "PS3" in the root of the USB device. Under the "PS3" folder, make a folder named "UPDATE". Place the PUP file under "UPDATE" and name it "PS3UPDAT.PUP". EVERYTHING MUST BE CAPITALIZED! Plug the USB device into the right-hand USB slot (the one closest to the disc drive).
Cannot install firmware. Started by Sol33t303. I have the latest version of RPCS3 and PS3s firmware, but when I try to install the firmware it says that the PUP contents are invalid. I'm on Linux and my specs are I7 6700k, integrated GPU and 8 GB of 3000mhz RAM. If anybody needs more info I'll try to provide it.
