Career. Rustix formed in 1967; the band was signed to Rare Earth Records, a Motown Records subsidiary. When they signed, they were the first all white act that did not use other musicians to back them (ie. The Funk Brothers) to be signed to a Motown Label. When they were signed, Rare Earth hadn't yet been signed. The label didn't have a name yet.
Achilles formed in 2004, as a result of the demise of three local Rochester bands; Building on Fire, The Breaking Project and Standfast.
