It's almost as if the people who would want a PS5 Pro are the people who also care about physical media or at least have a collection of previous PS5 (and PS4!) games that they would like to be able to play. Ridiculous decision to leave out a disc drive from a high end enthusiast product like this.
Already promised my PS5 to my brother. I better see him online playing it 24/7 lol. But Im hoping Shopto or Amazon have preorders. PS Direct is just a step above getting scammed in my experience, so Im hoping somewhere far more reliable lets me preorder.
My beleaguered console hard drives beg to differ. Every disc I insert in my PS5 and Xbox has to download/install 30 gigs of uncompressed assets to run from the solid state drive, because otherwise, the load times would kill you (if you're connected to fiber internet, chances are you're going to download the assets faster than installing from the disc).

Sounds like amazon Canada sold out but I see it's still listed on bestbuy canada. I've been hymming an hawing about it for a few days ngl, but seeing that 959.99 pricetag definitely gave me some pause.
