I just bought a PSP 2000 from ebay and I'm just wondering how the emulation for n64 games are. (speed, audio, etc) I'm planning on playing Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I do know that there was an unofficial update for daedalusx64 although I don't know the full details.

PSP's CPU is very similar to the one found in the Nintendo 64. This is why emulating it is possible although the PSP is only slightly better than the N64. DaedalusX64 is supposedly the best emulator out there for this system. Despite what people say.. psp is not a very good portable device for emulation.
PSP hardware is ancient by today's standards and honestly, it's impressive that a PSP can the handful of N64 games as well as it does. DaedalusX64 isn't a relatively new emulator, it has been around for over a decade. The audio is bad because the PSP isn't powerful enough for N64 emulation. The only game that can just about manage it is Super Mario 64. I’ve always had bad audio or not even working roms for n64. I used a normal psp for years.

I realise that it isn't ideal, but I find bascially every n64 game runs fine on psp/vita in psp mode if you disable sound in the emulator settings. Some obviously need other tweaks to get running smoothly though. 3. Award.

For SNES I would recommend Snes9x since you can do a custom map-out and which resolution you would like it to be and NES I would recommend Nester J, since it’s Snes9x but with NES games. SNES is more or less as high as you can go before things start really going sideways. N64 emulation is technically doable via DaedalusX64-3DS but the emulator is under-developed and it runs at maybe 30% speed. PSX is allegedly possible (I doubt it runs well) as well but I haven't tested that. 2. Reply.
