Mostly positive review. I was so nervous for my first frontier flight after reading posts in this group but I’m here to report that all went (mostly) well. We got delayed 49 minutes flying the first flight of the day MBJ - ATL but ended up landing only 30 mins late luckily. Nobody checked our carry on luggage or personal items.
Yes, Frontier is a horror show, but not for what you think. It’s not the no-frills, lucky not to pay for air on the flight stuff that is expected in budget carriers. It’s not even the delays. It’s Frontier’s shamefully underhanded manner of handling operations when things go wrong.

And unfortunately flying in/out/through Denver (Frontier hub) makes this extra risky. Denver flights are constantly delayed/cancelled because of the many thunderstorms. My family flies in and out of Denver a lot and we stopped using Frontier many years ago, even my very frugal father who used to fly Frontier all the time.
Don't fly Frontier if you have a connection somewhere. Don't fly Frontier if you cannot be late/delayed by any means. It's cheap (er). Seats will not be the most comfortable, lining up at the gate will be a complete mess, and don't expect any free snacks/refreshment. However, it'll get you from A to B. 12.
