La Rabida’s tutors provide one-on-one help with school work to an assigned child at weekly tutoring sessions. Tutors should have a desire to improve the educational experience while serving as a role model and mentor for the children in the tutoring program.
We provide specialized family-centered health care to children with medically complex conditions, disabilities and chronic illness. La Rabida stands out as a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of children with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, neuromuscular disorders or developmental delays.
The children we serve live with complex medical conditions, disabilities, abuse or trauma. At La Rabida, we’re in it for the long haul, and we’ve got Chicago’s most talented providers — pediatricians, nurses, physical, occupational, speech and developmental therapists — on our side.
Our department includes pediatric-specialized physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, infant developmental specialists and social workers. Many of our therapists are also credentialed for Early Intervention.
