You may follow the steps below on how to manage the notification pop-ups on your computer. Press Windows Key + I. Click on System. On the left pane menu, click on Notifications & Action. Scroll down and locate "Get notifications from these senders". Locate the McAfee and Norton and toggle their button to off. Close the settings.
I have unistalled the McAfee app, and all of its additional software programs. I have blocked pop-ups from the McAfee website on both the Chrome and Explorer browsers. I have turned off all notifications on both browsers and my PC as well. I used McAfee's software removal tool and it is still popping up. Nothing I have done is working.
In reply to Patti Fisher's post on June 21, 2023. Hold down Windows+R > type control.exe > find Programs and Features > check this list to see if McAfee is still present on your computer. If you don't have this program, please share the popup you see.

Hello, I am in desperate need of some help. I had an issue w McAfee pop-up so I un-installed the service that came pre-loaded w my dell ( Windows 10) laptop. However, it contiues to pop up "reminding me" to run the service. The icon appears in the task bar and everything.
Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). How can I get rid of McAfee pop ups when I have uninstalled the real McAfee product (these pop ups appear to be a scam and ask me to click links). I have tried all of the previous advice on earlier questions - nothing gets rid of them.
Open Edge, then click the 3 dots at the top right and select Settings. Type notifications in the search box in Edge Settings. On the right scroll down and you will find the Notification settings, if there is websites listed in there, delete them. Then check if that notification comes back.
Here's a screenshot and the popup is in the lower right corner of the screen. It pops up every few minutes and directs you toward McAfee security with a charge of 70 bucks. i've tried everything I can see on line and its still there. If notifications are coming from Edge, just head over to Edge Settings > Site permissions > Notifications > Check the Allowed list. Click the three dots beside the website address then remove or block. I suggest you remove/block the sites that aren't necessary or you're not familiar with. I hope this helps. AU.
