  2. Bridgestone Tour Ball Compression Confusion - Golf Balls -...

    forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1730730-bridgestone-tour-ball-compression-confusion

The Bridgestone tour line of balls really has me scratching my head. Typically you see a harder tour ball around a 100 compression rating (Prov1x) because the higher swing speed can/will compress it. Titleist has their softest tour ball in the AVX at about 80 compression. Enter Bridgestone with the XS which is supposed to be for swing speeds ...

  3. Bridgestone e6 vs Wilson 50 Elite - Golf Balls - GolfWRX

    forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1230668-bridgestone-e6-vs-wilson-50-elite

E6: 3 piece. 326 dimple in dimple tech. 50ish compression. 50 Elite: 2 piece. 302 pan head dimples. 50 compression. [/quote]I'm thinking you may have the compression stated wrongly, the Bridgestone e6 is a mid compression ball while the Wilson fifty elite is a low compression ball.

  4. Need recommendation - low compression, firm feel ball

    forums.golfwrx.com/.../1986400-need-recommendation-low-compression-firm-feel-ball

March 2. All low compression balls will have a soft feel. The low swing speed/soft compression myth was proven wrong years ago. At EVERY swingspeed a higher compression ball will have more distance. March 3. Your "general consensus" is actually just the accumulated golf ball marketing baloney of the past 10-15 years.

  5. Which ball not to play? (compression, spin, distance)

    forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1807728-which-ball-not-to-play-compression-spin-distance

The Wilson Duo Professional with a 84 compression has 2.5 yards more carry than the Pro V1x (108.4 compr.), the Callaway ERC Soft with the lowest compression of 76.1 hat 3 yards more. So, for the driver carry distance is not greatly affected by ball compression - the influence on ball speed and launch angle negligible.

  7. High trajectory golf balls - Golf Balls - GolfWRX

    forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1834894-high-trajectory-golf-balls

MGS has the Bridgestone B RXS as the highest peak height with a 77mph iron swing speed. Vice Pro, Vice Pro Soft, Srixon Z Star XV, and Bridgestone RX are next in that order. You give up a lot on the driver, though. It's 10 yards shorter off the driver than the Chrome Soft LS. Expand.

  8. Low and Mid compression, urethane golf balls. Is there a list?

    forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1903684-low-and-mid-compression-urethane-golf-balls...

Given that, it seems strange that so few soft balls are urethane. Expand. The best urethane low compression balls are Bridgestone RXS and Taylormade tour response. “Best” meaning great short game spin and distance off all clubs. IMHO the RXS is superior because it has much better short control than Tour Response.

Which was one of MGS's main, though general, conclusions; a harder ball goes farther, and a softer ball is a shorter ball. Although that may be generally true, in the Today's Golfer ball test the softest ball tested, the Callaway ERC Soft, its average distance was only .2 yards shorter than the Snell MTBX. 1. Quote.
