Thank you for that link. I see all the itv channels' logos need updating I rarely use the laptop in the room with the TV so use Radio Times and my heavily edited EPG instead as a rule.

Not surprisingly, it's losing circulation. A report from August 2012: The Radio Times has shed around 60,000 copies in the first half of the year, while market leaders TV Choice and What's on TV drove further ahead of their nearest rivals. The fact that it's produced in six different regional editions can't help either.

Radio Times is still the best if you want radio listings too - only Total TV Guide comes anywhere near in terms of radio listings and features. I guess RT's future depends whether enough R3 / R4 listeners are willing to pay a premium price for detailed, accessible listings. RT's 15-day Olympics guide was excellent but was £5+ in the shops.

    2. Total TV Guide I would say is 2nd best with a good choice of stations priced at £1,90 3. Radio Times I would say is 3rd best with plenty of features and many channels but the most expensive at over £3. 4. The Sun TV Guide has a great selection of channels Inc Forces TV at only 75p 5. The Daily Mail has a great TV guide with lots of ...

  8. Radio Times price variations. — Digital Spy

    forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2252798

And things like the Mail Weekend magazine and The Guardian Guide are the Radio Times' competition, not TV Choice. They're aimed at totally different audiences. If we assume that prices double every 10 years, and ( from memory) buying Radio Times and TV Times cost 10p in 1970, by 2020 the price would be £3.20, so a current price of £2.50 - £2 ...

  9. A week or two early to be starting the radio times and Christmas TV countdown for another Christmas. Same every year the thread is a week or two to early in being started. But it's a countdown to the Christmas Radio Times being released, not Christmas itself. So it makes sense to start the 2023 countdown today.

I buy a paper on Saturday for £2.10 and get my week's television listings from there. The Radio Times is a luxury I don't need and the cheaper TV mags seem dominated by soap stories that I'm not interested in. The Radio Times is more like Saga Magazine, with detailed TV and Radio listings.

  11. The Official Christmas Radio Times Countdown And Christmas TV...

    forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2439302/the-official-christmas-radio-times...

What's on TV - £1.60 TV Choice - £1.60 Total TV Guide - £4.50 TV & Satellite Week - £4.99 TV Times - £4.99 Radio Times - £5.50 There is an element of you get what you pay for. The first two are more reasonable, but have less by way of articles and recommendations, and skew more towards soaps, which won't be of interest to many.
