If you are in market for new cooler don’t buy an RTIC Cooler. Depending on budget and need either go with an igloo, YETI, Orca or Pelican. I am going to unfollow RTIC and let all my friends know about this crappy experience. #YetiCoolers #ORCACoolers #IglooCoolers #PelicanCoolers. Our team has investigated 35 of the best camping coolers of the year, comparing by capacity, insulation, durability, and now we’re doing a side-by-side comparison of the 6 best coolers of them all. Meanwhile Coleman and Igloo are still the Best Buy. I had a similar issue with an RTIC soft cooler. I love it otherwise.
Not sure i bought a Grizzly 75 qt, and claims to hold ice 5-6 days well it don't lucky to get 4 days, It was even returned to Grizzly and they test it and the said it was okay, they did change the hinge pin, the rubber gasket, and the rubber latches, and sent it back, they were nice enough, they sent me the box and paid shipping both ways, its in my garage, I put my 00 qt Coleman back on the ...
I have tested a yeti 45 right next to a Rtic 45 same color even, tan. On the Paddock at a race track in august in grass valley. 105 air temp and 145 asphalt temp. Yeti was hands down the best. we filled both from empty with Ice and closed them for four days, left shut, the results were indisputable.
It's probably not a good sign, I know they changed their warranty to only 30 days recently and have heard of some QC issues recently. But if you test the product and get a good one than it is worth the gamble IMO. You could buy 3 at this price vs yeti
The RTIC guys sold moving boxes and just happen to be efficient at scaling manufacturing. Think they had their hands in the new "mattress in a box" thing too. Rotomolded coolers aren't rocket science and they're probably being made in the same factory overseas. Knowing the Chinese, they probably sold the same Yeti mold to RTIC, hence the lawsuit.
I have one of the soft 20 size coolers. Just rode home from Mammoth in a round about way (8 hours/350 miles) in 100* heat most of the way with it on the back of my Harley. Had 3 frozen water bottles and a cold beer in it when I left. Got home and all 3 bottles still had some ice in them and the beer was still cold.
I have a 65 and 20 qt coolers for sale. I 65 was used once to hold ice and beer. the 20 qt has never been used. The 65 come with a wire tray and plastic divider. Located in Pasadena, $225 for both
An 18lb King is about 31 inches so I have that baseline but curious in Albacore. The shape of the 210 Yeti will hold quite a bit more fish than a 160 if the length works for an avg size Albi. If a 25lb Albi is 35 inches or something like that it is a no go so trying to figure that out on front end.
