    28. Location. Washington. May 17, 2011. #1. There is a local that is selling his Early's Witney 4 Point blanket for $110 and I was wondering how it compared to a genuine Hudson Bay or a surplus blanket. I was wondering if anyone had either one of the point blankets and how you like them? I do have two 100% wool Italian surplus blankets that are ...

Jun 24, 2015. #7. This is from the Hudson's Bay Company website: Yes. Hbc point blankets are made of 100% wool and are pre-shrunk as part of the manufacturing process. So you can hand wash your blanket in a gentle detergent like Zero or Woollite. The trick is in the drying.

And before this they sometimes used paper labels attached onto a corner with jute. If you read the last sentence in the description it says " There may be gold embroidered variants of this label ".

Mid 1920s Multi-Stripe. SEAL-A1 Red canvas label. 70x90". 6.4 lbs. Point Markings strong on both sides. 98 years old. $300. These vintage blankets are much better made than brand new models. They are soft and clean, smell great and are treated with lanolin for extra weather resistance.

  10. The Hudson Bay Axe Thread | Bushcraft USA Forums

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/the-hudson-bay-axe-thread.163930

Honestly when it comes to axes of this style the Montreal pattern is my favorite. The eye is deeper, the beard a bit shorter, and the entire head is typically thicker. Most Hudson's Bay axes I've had, have tended to loosen up during use (I think it's a combo of my poor carpentry skills and the short eye).

  11. How to remove an axe head without destroying the handle?

    bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/how-to-remove-an-axe-head-without-destroying...

I hung a Hudson's Bay axe on a nice handle but decided that I want a different length handle for that head (I know...it's a long story). The handle is very nice and I want to use it for another axe if possible. It has a wooden wedge but no metal wedge. I assume I need to drill a series of small holes into the wedge along it's width, but what then?
