The Odin project was really good but as someone who started it with 0 experience it was a little overwhelming. I went through the foundations and got up to 90% complete before I needed to turn elsewhere. I remember reading the JavaScript foundation 1/2/3 multiple times. Every single thing they had on there and it was just too much.

WolfofAnarchy. ADMIN MOD. The Odin Project is PHENOMENAL. Tutorial. I just finished working my face off with the Odin Project. Finished fundamentals in 2-3 weeks (8 hours per day as fulltime job during vacation). The things I can make now and the knowledge I have now (it's a refresher, haven't coded in years) compared to 3 weeks ago is INSANE!

People say that It's possible to finish in 6 months but I think that they're rushing maybe 6-8 hours a day, 7 days a week without focusing on the projects or they are just proficient with technology (they are already devs). 24. Reply. oiamo123.

The Odin Project, on the other hand, has been my best source. It's more of a guide than a course as they lead you through what to read and do. Sometimes the challenge curve skyrockets, but the course teaches you to instinctively seek outside sources to aid you. They also lead through React and Node which are good bases to branch from.

  8. Is The Odin Project good? : r/learnprogramming - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/learnprogramming/comments/ksp0q1/is_the_odin_project_good

The Odin Project is easy to recommend because it's very good at pointing you to OTHER high-quality resources, giving you structured project-goals without holding your hand, and providing a methodical introduction so that you don't have the problem other webdev courses sometimes have where you spend two weeks typing css into a textbox in a ...

    www.reddit.com/.../comments/p7ocz9/using_codecademy_vs_the_odin_project

The Odin project builds on top of other online resources (like the freecodecamp) and adds more resources to further your understanding by reading about specific things. As such I felt like the freecodecamp gave you a shallower understanding of what your learning and that TOP deepens that knowledge.

Odin project is really nice, I'm currently doing an intern as a front-end dev, i did many courses during free time, mainly 2 that I would recommend and one of them being odin project. the only thing i didn't like is the setting up using virtual environment, as I prefered using my own OS to do things. regardless, it's a great resource
