Valley Forge is the encampment site of the Continental Army during the winter of 1777-1778. The park features 3,500 acres of meadows, woodlands, and monuments commemorating the sacrifices and perseverance of the Revolutionary War generation and honoring the power of people to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times.
Valley Forge National Historical Park is open year-round, has no entrance fees, and welcomes around two million visitors each year. Historic buildings, statues and monuments, and 35 miles of trails can be found in this beautiful 3,500-acre landscape.

The registration service is free, as is admission to all park facilities. Simply complete the on-line form managed by the park's tourism office partner Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, linked below; you will receive a registration confirmation within 48 business hours.
Theater at Valley Forge. 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, daily. The free park orientation film is shown every half hour beginning at 9:30AM with the last show at 4:30PM. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's days. You can also watch the film online.

The main entrance to the park, with access to the nearby Visitor Center at Valley Forge, is at the intersection of State Route 23 and North Gulph Road. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 326. From Interstate I-76, take Route 422 West to Route 23 West/Valley Forge.
