The Dells of the Wisconsin River, also called the Wisconsin Dells (from Old English “ dæle ”, modern English “dale”), meaning “valley”, is [ 1] a 5-mile (8-km) gorge on the Wisconsin River in south-central Wisconsin, USA. It is noted for its scenery, in particular for its Cambrian sandstone rock formations and tributary canyons. [ 2]
Great Wolf Lodge began as a small indoor water park resort called Black Wolf Lodge which was founded in 1997 by brothers Jack and Andrew "Turk" Waterman, the original owners of Noah's Ark Water Park in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. [4] Black Wolf Lodge was purchased by The Great Lakes Companies Inc. in 1999.

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Mirror Lake State Park is a 2,179-acre (882 ha) Wisconsin state park in the Wisconsin Dells region. The process of establishing the park began in 1962 and the park officially opened on August 19, 1966. [ 1] It contains Mirror Lake, a narrow reservoir with steep sandstone sides up to 50 feet (15 m) tall.
The resort is built around a tropical theme based on the Polynesian islands. Compared to its surrounding resorts and hotels, The Polynesian Resort Hotel is one of the smaller resorts in the Wisconsin Dells. It has a combined total of 200,000 square feet of indoor and an outdoor waterpark.
