    2008 Silverado 5.3 I'm annoyed with the hesitation when I try to accelerate quickly. No problem most of the time, and if I accelerate slowly, it runs perfectly, smooth as silk. It's just from an idle, typically at a stop light. No codes, Most likely one of two things not enough air (air filter) or not enough fuel.

    I cleared the codes and they havent come back on yet. but still getting the 171, and 174 codes. my truck is 03 silverado 1500 4.8L with around 165K miles. the truck runs great at all speeds except at the stop lights, just idles between 500 and 1000 rpm. I gonna try cleaning the mass airflow sensor and see if that helps. anymore suggestions

    Two weeks after purchasing this vehicle we began experiencing very hard starts in the morning and then throwing code P0172 and P0175 (rich condition bank 1 and 2). No other engine conditions presented themselves besides this (no rough idle, poor running engine, etc.) I tested the fuel pressure (Key On, wait and running) and all seemed well.

    canislupis69. 5032 posts · Joined 2008. #2 · Mar 1, 2010. GQ1 means you have a standard rear end with no traction adder. Look for another rpo code in the glove box for the ratio. It usually starts with GU or GT: GU2 2:73 ratio. GU4 3: 08 ratio. GU5 3:23 ratio.

    twincharlotte.com. if it actually wont automatically shift out of 1st then I was right with suspecting sensors and plugs... a new pcm would be an absolute last step! 22. Transmission does not shift automatically, only manually. New PCM, check wiring, check other sensors such as VSS and TPS.
