Jan 20, 2022. #1. I unfortunately have the problem that the app NRC constantly crashes or freezes when I select a guided workout. After that, it won't start at all until I restart the watch or force close the app. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app has not helped unfortunately. I have the Series 7 (OS 8.3) Nike Edition.
I decided to give HealthFit app a try, which is a one-time $4.99 and it seems to import even NRC workouts, which you can then export to Strava! There are a few caveats, though: 1. The map is missing (it says No GPS Data) 2. No Elevation Gain/Loss info.
0. Apr 20, 2013. #2. The Nano uses a built in pedometer to measure distance. Everything else, pace, calories and such are all determined from that data and time on run. I use the 6th gen and found it to be pretty accurate. The best placement for accuracy (on the 6th gen anyway) is on the hip. I am not sure about the 7th gen Nano.
A few observations with Nike Run Club for AW2. I have a SS AW2 not a Nike version, so results may vary. If I run with my watch only, then sync to the app, I get no Nike Fuel, Splits, or Elevation If I run with both and START a run with my watch, I get no Nike Fuel, Splits, or Elevation If I run with both and START on the PHONE, I get EVERYTHING.
Nike Training Club, providing a quick look at my next workout and estimated workout time would be cool. Also: a real health widget which can be customized to show hydration, heartrate, caffeine stats etc.

Agree. I started out on the NRC app, after having used Nike+ on my iPod, then iPhone since 2006 0r 7. One of the updates to the watch app caused the app to keep crashing & I made them move over to the Stock workouts app.
Thanks a lot! All I found was the Nike Run Club app that lost the training plans on the watch feature for some reason. The stryd thing looks great but is pretty expensive. The iSmoothRun works without a phone and supports guided trainings? I’ll look into that. Im actually surprised that Garmin is the only one offering that out of the box.
Hey. I recently picked up a series 3 Apple Watch Nike Edition. However I am having issues with the Nike Run Club app. When I go for a run with the watch only (GPS) it seems that there are no sounds in the app. That is there is no countdown sound, and there is no voiceover telling me how far I have run etc. Just silent.
