Heimler. I personally found a combination of Princeton Review and Heimler's History to be really helpful. In my class we read 1493 for our summer assignment, which is definitely not comprehensive review of all topics from AP World but still a very interesting read and good foundation for the class.

I agree with the others on here that AMSCO is the best prep book. AMSCO is used in AP World, APUSH, and AP Human Geo as a second textbook just because of how useful the book is. However, it only has one test and no answer key. If you would like more practice, Barron's has some good exams. I haven't used Princeton Review for AP World, so I can't ...
Crash course I wouldnt say is enough you have to get a recent book and learn the writing formats dbq, leq, and saq. Seems about right. For all of our homework we just used Amsco, then our teacher had PowerPoints and notes in class with activities as well. Don’t ever remember using the textbooks in class.

okay so for my ap world class we get to make a shirt that says anything we want. does anyone have funny inside jokes only ap world students would understand? for example the yr before us has a shirt that said “cuz thats what friends are for” w a picture of a Japanese samurai because if a samurai didn’t have enough strength to kill himself fully, his friend would cut his head off.
