    Thanks! A 1" threaded steerer fork uses a 22.2mm quill stem, a 1 1/8" threaded steerer fork uses a 25.4 (1") quill stem. So while there's a chance the listing is talking about a stem for a 1" fork, there's also a chance it's talking about an actual 1" stem. I wouldn't buy without confirming which it is with the seller.

    They should dump the inch designation and just call it 1/8th, 1/4, 1/2 pipe to eliminate confusion. Because the ID is, or more commonly was, 1/8". As materials improve pipes get thinner, and slowly bigger IDs as they stay the same OD to fit the old fittings, which is why 1/2" PVC is closer to 5/8" ID.
