Jim Boscov, nephew. Albert Boscov (September 22, 1929 – February 10, 2017) was an American businessman and philanthropist. He was the long-time head of Boscov's Department Stores and served as the company's chairman and CEO until retiring in 2015. In 2009, Boscov led a buyout of the chain in order to rescue it from bankruptcy.
Boscov set his sights again on Monmouth Mall, which had been a successful store for Boscov's, and it reopened in 2011. He died in 2017 at age 87 after battling cancer .
