10-04-202212:07 AM. USPS rates increased effective today so labels purchased today will reflect the new rate increase. Orders placed before today had shipping costs applicable at the time the order was placed. Orders from today going forward will automatically show the new rate if you use calculated shipping.
There are indeed different kinds of scans and different kinds of tracking numbers. Each carrier has their own approach. The USPS does indeed have "package tracking" with package tracking numbers and package tracking scans. Tracking for First Class letters and flats involves a different kind of tracking number(s) and a different scanning protocol.

I don't know of any way and besides why would you want to cut and paste to use the tracking number. You can go into completed orders and right away you can see if it is in transit or delivered. I used to check tracking all the time but now I don't. I only glance to see what has completed delivery and only check now if the package is overdue.

Some tracking numbers were never used for various reasons, messed up form, still sitting in someone's shipping room and waiting to be used, etc. Eventually, they are all recycled. The problem seems to be etsy dredging them up and sending messages to old customers when the numbers are reused ...
Those two mail classes do not have valid USPS tracking as USPS does not offer tracking on those 2 mail classes. So what you have is an Etsy shipping label with faux Pitney-Bowes tracking. Post Crafter. 03-31-2016 02:24 AM. USPS only adds international tracking to certain countries via select shipping methods. If you want to track all the way, you can add Registered Mail. It is around $13 or so and takes a bit longer as the parcel is checked in and out on each leg of the journey, but is the most secure way to ship anything overseas.

Crafty Poster. 03-15-202211:23 AM. According to stamps.com, they aren't supposed to reuse the numbers until the old tracking expires. Some of these were delivered as recently as March 11, so last Friday. That's too soon - that tracking information might still be needed by the previous recipient.
