Maggodee Creek is a creek in Franklin County in the United States state of Virginia. The creek is a southeast-flowing tributary of the Blackwater River, part of the Roanoke River watershed. The Piedmont Mill Historic District encompasses a historic 19th-century grist mill complex at 1709 Alean Road in rural Franklin County, Virginia. Located between Wirtz and Burnt Chimney on the banks of Maggodee Creek, it includes an 1866 mill building, an earthen raceway and a 20th-century concrete dam, as well as a metal truss bridge.
These are reached from Starkey, Virginia via Starlight Road (State Road 615) and Boone's Chapel Road (State Road 614). One is at the end of Boone's Chapel Road where a Jeep trail crosses the Franklin County line at a pipeline and descends to State Road 613 adjacent to the Maggodee Creek bridge.
