There is a bug in Windows Mail right now where certain emails are arriving in HTML code. It appears to be random and doesn't affect the onilne mail provider so you can read the email intact there.
First, on your Yahoo account, under account settings and security, create a password app. Then on the Mail & Calendar app, when adding the mail account, instead of choosing "Yahoo", choose "POP3/IMAP" and enter your email address and the password previously created.
