1978 Suzuki gs1000. The signals on my bike work intermittently mostly start working after driving about 30min not at all think it’s the self cancel box does anyone know how to bypass this unit. I think the flasher is ok changed with auto one and does the same. On a '78 model, the self cancel timer probably is an after-market unit.

The bike is light, easy to handle, and uninimidating, and it has been in production for 21 years now. Ones made after 1995 have a 5th gear, while earlier ones have a four speed.

WD40 is always a bad idea. It does penetrate and loosen things, but most people forget to re-oil things.WD40 removes grease and dries things out letting rust in. Avoid unless absolutely required. Now. Check the cable to make sure its not pinching. Then disconnect the cable from the throttle body.

Hello everyone, Brand new to the forum and I have a question. Getting my S40 ready for riding season and I don't have any spark at the plug. I was wondering if there was a common problem with these bikes. Just bought it last year and it was working great before putting it in the garage. I must admit I was a bit lax on starting it regularly.
