Most people can receive bbc4 and it saves all this switching from one channel to another. They can put all their Sports on bbc4 and use bbc2 If there is more than one live sport on and BBC iplayer. This moving programmes from one channel to another is stupid. The ratings would be smaller as it's further down the EPG.

Today's BBC Breakfast, like a few over the Games, was only scheduled for 45 minutes on BBC1 so an expense to have all the regions and Nations there to produce just one bulletin. Breakfast on BBC1 is extended to 8am today as the Triathlon is postponed until tomorrow at least due to pollution levels in the Seine.

The kids one is a good idea. When the BBC proposed closing CBBC but no CBeebies many commented that it was because the CBBC demographic could easily navigate iPlayer where as the CBeebies pre-schoolers wouldn't.
BBC News are reporting it was due to unsolicited text messages to a female One Show staffer. I thought he might have presented MOTD at some point. Not now! I wish they'd sacked the gobby other one with £1.3 million salary, particularly as there are quite a few competent alternatives to that one.

One of the downsides for the BBC merging the domestic and world channels together. Domestic news channel could show Olympic footage because the BBC has UK rights, World couldn't because of course the BBC didn't have worldwide rights. It was delayed by, what, about 20 minutes.
