I've made promising observations regarding hashtags. TL;DR: Less Hashtags = More Views, Correct Hashtags = Better Retention. I have been doing experiments with both TikTok and YouTube Shorts to try to gain a sense of how the algorithm works. To me, I treat social media as a sort of game to try to narrow down to a science and beat.

You can try to adjust the settings to make it smaller, maybe that'll change how much they compress it, but usually most services will compress everything.
I have a fashion and lifestyle niche on tiktok, i get somewhere around 1-2k views per post and the likes is pretty decent, average is about 100 likes. I started about a month ago. I tried to post on pc just cus I thought it'd be easier and yea my views and likes dropped significantly.
It had to be after today though because todays her birthday (how convenient). Someone went live with her and fell for her pity party today and they sent her a bunch of gifts so now she’s decided to stay on TikTok! Of course. This woman is well taken care of at her long term care facility. She gets money every month.
