A wanted poster (or wanted sign) is a poster distributed to let the public know of a person whom authorities wish to apprehend. They generally include a picture of the person, either a photograph when one is available or of a facial composite image produced by the police.

David Alex Alvarez is a Mexican prisoner who was arrested on May 20, 1997 in Tijuana, Mexico. He was wanted in murder of four people, including two young girls, and wounding of three other people, at Baldwin Park, California September 29, 1996. He was also wanted in a kidnapping in California, August 1996.

Could we expand the definition of a wanted poster to include posters of missing persons, also sometimes produced by law enforcement and offering a reward.
