The Australian fifty-dollar note is an Australian banknote with a face value of fifty Australian dollars ($50). Since 1995 it has been a polymer banknote featuring portraits of Edith Cowan , first female member of an Australian parliament, and inventor and Australia's first published Aboriginal Australian author, David Unaipon .
Banknotes were introduced on 15 November 1965 in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 20 dollars. A second series issued between 1988 and 1992 consisted of 20, 100, and 500 dollar denominations. The 1996–1999 series included 20, 100, 500, and 1000 dollars. The 2000–2002 series included 500 and 1000 dollar notes.
The Zimbabwean dollar experienced rapid depreciation before its replacement. Between 2 May and 17 June 2023, it depreciated from Z$1,070.42 to Z$6,351.50 per US dollar, at the official exchange rate. On 30 January 2024, it weakened past Z$10,000 per US dollar, and on 22 March 2024, it dropped below Z$20,000 per US dollar.

On 15 January 1969, the government introduced notes in denominations of 50 cents, $1, $2, $10, and $20; the $5 note was not issued until 1970. The Central Monetary Authority took over the issuance of paper money in 1974, issuing the same denominations, although the 50c note was replaced by a coin on 3 March 1975.
