Earl of Stockton is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 24 February 1984 for Harold Macmillan , [ 1 ] the former Conservative prime minister (from 1957 to 1963), [ 2 ] less than three years before his death in 1986. [ 2 ]
A residual civil parish of Norton, covering just the more rural western part of the old parish, continued to exist until 1 April 1968 when it was abolished and absorbed into the County Borough of Teesside along with Stockton and other areas. [6] In 1961 the parish had a population of 416. [7] It is now in the unparished area of Stockton-on-Tees.
Hardwick is a west Stockton-on-Tees area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, northern England. It is where North Tees Hospital is situated. The Hardwick ward had 6,881 population in the 2011 census. It is bordered by Harrowgate Lane to the north west, Roseworth to the east and Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Farm the south.
The North Shore Academy is a secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees, North East England. The school was opened in 2010, and replaced Blakeston School and Norton Comprehensive School. The main campus of the Academy was situated on the old Blakeston School site. The academy has now moved to a new site on Talbot Street, Stockton-on-Tees.
