I'm not saying what I've done is the right/best way, but when dealing with a similar issue I brought individual drawings into Illustrator and then tweaked the lineweights and colours and everything else to make sure I was happy with the product, then made jpgs that I placed in my InDesign document.

I have searched quite thoroughly on the internet and on Archinect but I haven't been able to locate a 2D map of Manhattan with buildings (.dwg or something similar). Hello architects, Can someone please share a dwg file of the Melbourne CBD with me? I am doing my master thesis atm, and I am in dire need of a full .dwg site map of Melbourne Australia, and in addition i need a 3d Model of the CBD as well.
Each type of drawing gets its own construct (elevations are drawn in their own .dwg) then they are collected and annotated in the views. The system works well for most drawing types, but it breaks down with details because there are so many of them and they are often interrelated.
