  2. What's Air Force OTS like? : r/airforceots - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/airforceots/comments/11qqtlm/whats_air_force_ots_like

None. Lots of breaks, little sleep deprivations. Culture is zero hazing and you will be able to count on one hand how many times you get actually yelled at. Absolutely not. If I weren’t prior service I would be severely underprepared. Air Force OTS is probably the least physically and mentally demanding.

  3. Is OTS *that* hard to get into? : r/AirForceRecruits - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/AirForceRecruits/comments/u28whu/is_ots_that_hard_to_get_into

I'm basically just left with applying for OTS after finishing college. I've heard that not only is OTS more difficult to get into, but the job openings are just what's left after AFA and ROTC have filled whatever slots. But, I don't really see a better option. Hell, the only other option (s) I'm aware of would be picking a different degree ...

  4. Officer Training School Experience : r/AirForceRecruits - Reddit

Yes. The common word is for every 200 applicants, the best 20 get packages submitted for review, 1 or 2 get selected for OTS. Highly competitive. You're going to want to have a GPA of 3.5-3.8+. STEM is preferred but not required. You'll need strong leadership and/or community involvement experience.

There are many variables to an OTS package. If you want to get the best advice, you need to include as much information as possible, like degree information, GPA, AFOQT, PCSM (if applicable), leadership experience, relevant awards, etc. If you only provide your GPA or AFOQT scores, expect to be told "who knows."

  6. Current OTS acceptance rate : r/airforceots - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/airforceots/comments/nl0721/current_ots_acceptance_rate

Question. Hi all, I emailed an Air Force Officer Recruiter recently and asked them about applying for OTS. They informed me that the acceptance rate right now is 7% and that if I don’t feel like I’m competitive, I shouldn’t apply. Is this percentage true?

  7. OTS Physical Fitness reqs. : r/airforceots - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/airforceots/comments/hpio3x/ots_physical_fitness_reqs

New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. The AFI is accurate. Always trust the AFI over some blog post. All you need is a passing score to graduate. As an officer 90s are generally expected. You need to plan on getting a 90+ for your entire career. It's the unspoken rule for officers to do so.

If interested in the LEAD program, for enlisted airmen to apply to the Air Force Academy, read this. Applying for commission as an Air Force officer through Officer Training School (OTS) is a long and competitive process. Be prepared to wait 2 years from the time you first contact your recruiter until you leave for OTS if selected.

  9. how strenuous is getting in to OTS? : r/airforceots - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/airforceots/comments/zr3vei/how_strenuous_is_getting_in_to_ots

Probably harder than getting into Army OCS, if I’m being honest. I wouldn’t ignore the warrant officer path either depending on your enlisted qualifications. Unless you’re competitive for one of the specialty corps in the AF, you’re looking at 2 years for non rated and maybe a little less for rated via the OTS path. 9.

  11. Officer training school? : r/AirForceRecruits - Reddit

OTS is such a slow route. I bet you could enlist, become an E4 in the time that it would take you to become an 01. Presuming you have a degree. If you want to become an officer, take the afrotc route. The difficult part is selecting a school that fits with your ideals, the distance, and a few other things. 2.
