Select the curseforge folder, hold shift, and drag it to the folder you selected from the first comment on the new drive. Then, go back into settings, select the folder that you just dragged the curseforge into, and accept. Finally, import the profiles.
Modrinth vs Curseforge is basically the website equivalent of Fabric vs Forge. Modrinth is faster, cleaner, more reliable, and open source. Because it's run openly by members of the community, it leaves more of the pie to give to mod developers (probably, hard to measure) Ideally, use Modrinth to download everything.
In curseforge you do have the option to uninstall addon settings. I have used wowup before but if i remember correctly i switched back to curseforge because it was more user-friendly and/or had more choice. I roll with both. With wowup, be sure to find it in your system tray and close it out fully.

The glaring issue for me was that my Curseforge launcher wasn't up to date. [If yours is also outdated > open the Curseforge launcher > on your modpack, right click and select View Profile > select the three dots next to play > select Profile Options > under Current Modloader Versions, select a newer version > Done].

On Curseforge, click on the modpack to open the page where it lists all of the mods. Up in the top right, there should be a button to open the folder that contains all the folders for that Minecraft instance. Open that and look for a mods folder. Download the appropriate Optifine version for your game and drop it into the mods folder. Reload ...
Open the :grass~1: Minecraft section of the app. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files. Once finished, click Play!
