NAPS2 has a batch scanning feature to automate some scanning tasks. Under the "Scan" dropdown you can click "Batch Scan". Once you choose a profile, you can select whether you want a single scan or multiple scans. "Single scan": A single operation of the scanner - for a feeder, that could be many pages.
Automatically run OCR after scanning - Normally the OCR process runs while you're saving the PDF. If this option is checked, it will run pre-emptively after scanning to make saving the document faster.
Try each of these steps and see if they fix the problem: Make sure your scanner is plugged in, turned on, and connected to your computer. Make sure you have your scanner's drivers installed. Google " (model number) drivers" if you need to find them. In your profile settings, try switching between different driver options.
Scanning. To do your first scan, press the "Scan" button. As this is your first scan, you will be prompted to create a profile. Profiles include the settings for your scan (device, page size, resolution, etc.). To create new profiles later you can click the "Profiles" button on the toolbar.
Combining and Converting Files. The -i/--import option can be used in combination with the option "-n 0" to combine multiple files together or to change the type of a file without doing any scanning. To combine multiple images into a PDF: naps2.console -i "F:\a.jpg;F:\b.jpg;F:\c.jpg" -n 0 -o "F:\abc.pdf".
Basic Settings. Paper Source - Whether to scan from Glass (flatbed), Feeder (automatic document feeder), or Duplex (feeder with duplex support). Bit Depth - Whether to scan in Color, Grayscale, or Black & White. Page Size - The size of the pages you're scanning.
