I am a huge fan of the retro scene as a 40 years old + gamer . These tools help me keep my retro collection alive year after year. I use either Xone, X360 or DS4 controllers on my PC with PCSX2. Right now, I'm using DS4windows to connect the DS4 pads with win10, and as pad plugins I use both lilypad 0.12.1 and Pokopom 2.1.0.
Expand the Human Interface Devices section and find your DS3. Right click on it, and choose properties. Go the the driver tab and click "uninstall" and then in the box that pops up MAKE SURE TO CHECK "Delete the driver software for this device." Okay that, then reboot. It should be gone.
DS4Windows was a project originally started by InhexSTER by the name of DS4 Tool. The tool was later branched off by electrobrains. I then later made my own branch of it. This program allows the PS4 controller (DualShock 4) to emulate an Xbox 360 controller, which allows far more games to be compatible with the DualShock 4 than out of the box.
You have started the tool with Hide DS4 Controller on. In Devices and Printers from Control Panel (Game Controllers menu) make sure that X360 Controller is only one visible) At this moment we do not support running DS3 and DS4 simultaneously, so make sure only DS4 is connected.
This is a tool that let you use DS4 controller in pcsx2 with vibration support. DS4Windows can also do this, but if you don't want to install a system-wide driver you can use this tool instead. The new pcsx2 (1.7) can't choose input plugin any more, i was planning to make a input plugin but i can't. So dll injection method is used.

The best solution these days is to launch PCSX2 through Steam and use Steam as a compatibility layer for your DS4. Controllers can be configured relatively easily via Big Picture mode.
This Windows 10 machine has two (original) DS3 controllers connected with SCPToolkit via BT and one (original) DS4 controller with DS4windows (new version by ryochan7) via BT. Those controllers didn't had any issues so far in Steam or other games. My Problem: Setting up and configuring the controllers is no problem.
extending Nobbs answer a bit (maybe unnecessarily): After input of your DS4 with the XInput wrapper works for other software go to lilypad plugin settings where you can bind controls by clicking on the second tab and then hitting one button after another in the plugin window and on your DS4. You should also check the recognized gamepad listbox ...
The problem with it is that some game like FIFA 14 and some other receive input from Wireless Controller (DS4) and X360 Controller at the same time (Dual Input). It also prevents freezes with some applications, like UPlay for example. Checkbox will switch the mode and restarts the X360 Controller. Usage cases:
2) My non genuine (PLAYSTATION®3Conteroller-PANHAI) controller is not working in Bluetooth mode. When I turn controller on, it tries to connect, but crashes and I have to do hard reset of the controller. I've tried to add its MAC address to the ScpControl.ini into [BthDs3] section, but that hasn't helped. Genuine controller works without problem.
