Casio V.P.A.M. calculators are scientific calculators made by Casio which use Casio's Visually Perfect Algebraic Method (V.P.A.M.), Natural Display or Natural V.P.A.M. input methods. V.P.A.M. is an infix system for entering mathematical expressions, used by Casio in most of its current scientific calculators.
The Casio CTK-2080 has pressure-sensitive features, LC display, 400 different tones that can be altered by various effects settings, a metronome, and 110 built-in songs. The keyboard also supports both MIDI and USB ports, allowing connection to computers, as well as other instruments. [1] [2] The keyboard can also digitally sample external sounds.
An optional Casio FA-6 interface board provided a cassette tape recorder connector, a Centronics printer connector and an RS-232C port. The calculator could print data and listings on any Centronics printer; printing graphics required the Casio FP-100 plotter-printer. Later, Casio released the FX-880P, which had 32 kB built-in memory.
