Vertical lines showed up in my Vive Pro 2. At first they were only visible at the edge of the left screen, thin lines of red blue and green. Now they cover the whole left lens. Each like is a pixel thick. I did clean all the connectors with CRC electronics cleaner, but it did not help. I bought a new cable (2.0), it didn't help either. FIX:
My VIVE setup: I purchased my HTC VIVE Pro 2 shortly after its release in June 2021. I have 4x HTC/Valve base stations, 2 Valve knuckle controllers, and the HTC VIVE wireless adapter (I ran the headset both wired and wireless). FYI, I also had a Valve Index, but only for a very short period of time.
Hi, I recently saw a deal for the HTC Vive Pro Focus Plus 6DOF VR Headset and I was considering buying it. My primary purpose for using it would be for gaming. I tried to look up to see what games were supported/available and didn't really find much information about the headset itself nor compatibility.
I'm completely new to VR (well only had a phone based one a few years ago) and I'm looking for the best possible combination. What I'm looking at is the HTC Vive Pro 2 with the Valve Index base stations and controllers. I have just recently got a new gaming PC (CPU: i9-12900K / GPU: RTX 3090 24GB) so should be able to get the most out of it.
The Vive Pro 2 connects threw HTC software before interacting with SteamVR in other words its buggy. That HMD released several years ago and the software is still buggy and it will always be buggy. The Index works very well. 3070ti probably wont run the Vive Pro 2 well unless you reduce the resolution...
“The res, refresh rate and fov of the vive pro 2 is great! But the overall clarity isnt at all what it should be for this price. Plus…that damned binocular overlap I love the vp1 clarity, but idk if i can let go of the fov/refresh rate/ resolution of the vive pro 2
Vive Pro 2 - The MRTV Review The Vive Pro 2 is HTC's latest PCVR headset that is aimed at enterprise customers and VR enthusiasts alike. It promises a wider 120° FOV and high-end VR experience thanks to its upgraded resolution of 2.5k * 2.5k pixels per eye and a higher 120hz refresh rate.
I remember not being amused with overall experience of HTC Vive (not Pro though, I'm just throwing this reply in for reference). Quality of image, colors, resolution, the need to set up lighthouses. I wouldn't want it. I ended up getting Reverb G2, and it erased my fears of mediocre VR. Image, colors, fov: it's just great. Inside-out tracking ...
HTC VIVE PRO Yesterday I also tried the new htc vive on the intel stand. Not much better, yes it looks funky (great design). Yes it feels comfortable but not a great deal better than the deluxe, and yes was a bit lighter (but no different to an oculus) but I didn’t think the resolution improvements were that significant although the demo was ...
Because the Vive Pro 2 has rendered FoV of almost 20 degrees more than the G2s, like you physically cannot go over 99 degrees on the G2 in hFoV and the VFoV is also wider on the Vive Pro 2. Used the FoV mod for the G2 myself and even with it, Vive Pro 2's FoV was worlds better on both fronts when using thinner face padding.
