  4. Playing video on an extended desktop (projector)

Thanks for the reply, Arite. You can do as you say, but the problem is the screen is so far away (the PC is in the vestibule in the front of the church and the screen is at the deepest location straight to the back) and the resolution so low, that it is difficult to manipulate the VLC controls once you move to the projector.

  5. Increasing playback speed barely helps to save time and still understand the words. Media players that use the ExoPlayer framework are able to skip silence. Some examples are Voice Audiobook Player and Just Video Player. It's unfortunate this feature is missing from VLC because it is a superior app in most respects, but for now I settle with ...

Then, the output mp4 file will play audio along with the video in other mp4 players such as Windows Media Player. A bizarre random setting found after 3 days of troubleshooting....

  9. Thanks for any constructive tips! I had to copy about a hundred short how-to vids from PC to my media player that I must hunt through for research purposes since neither home PC VLC nor Android VLC will handle continuously in sequence properly. I have to reached frustration threshold today, that's for sure <sigh>! Cheers,

  11. VLC player doesn't prevent PC from going to sleep mode

    forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=158152

I use MPC-HC and VLC, one for h264 and the other for h265 material. I don't have issues with MPC, I can watch movies for hours, and the PC would never go in the sleep mode. But when I use VLC player, my PC goes to sleep mode after 20 minutes (this is set up in Windows settings). The "Disable screensaver" option is checked.
