  2. Is 82% battery health on the iPhone 11 Pro Max that bad?

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-82-battery-health-on-the-iphone-11-pro-max...

Look at it another way. An iPhone battery that’s at 70% health is pretty much unusable- so 70% is essentially 10%. When the battery health says 80%, it’s really more like 45-50% and you can feel it. So the takeaway is - the iOS battery health number is a lie. 80% battery health ain’t 20% less powerful than a new battery.

It's been almost a year since the iPhone 15 models were released, so MacRumors videographer Dan Barbera decided to do a one-year check-in review on the iPhone 15 Pro Max to see how it's performed over the last 12 months.

  4. Battery health 78%. Is it already the time to change the battery?

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/battery-health-78-is-it-already-the-time-to...

This is accurate. I asked about having my launch day Series 5 watch battery replaced after 2 years when it had hit 82%. They said it needed to be under 80%, and I had it done in May of this year at 78% no questions asked. I also have had 2 iPhone battery replacements done at 81% and 83% with no issues.

  8. One year iPhone 11 Pro battery life at 86%... ideas?

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/one-year-iphone-11-pro-battery-life-at-86-ideas...

To me that seems really low I had my 11 Pro for 10 months, and it was at 100 when I sold it. Optimized battery charging was on, typically kept it between 40-80, but overnight would be 100, wireless charged it After one year you shouldn’t be that low imho. At 84 health you’re gonna start getting “service your battery” notifications

  9. iPhone 13 What is the average battery health after year/years?

macrumors regular. Nov 5, 2017. 163. 304. Jan 27, 2022. #5. I think with most people's usage patterns you can expect the battery to lose about 7-10% of its health with every year of use, so that you end up with 80-85% battery health left after two years. Of course there are going to be variables in this calculation that change the result.

Friday at 7:46 AM. #2. There is nothing in the advertising about new kind of batteries for the 16, only bigger batteries. But is still the same lithium based technology as far I know. I guess the non-max will require less energy, less from the battery and will last longer, but I don't believe in a difference that justify a downgrade. Today, I ...
