Posted November 6, 2017. Looking at the URL on the screenshot, you're downloading the current stable. What you need to do is go into the Windows Defender Antivirus settings. Somewhere in there you should be able to create an exception, possibly on some sort of white list, for uTorrent.exe. Once done, uTorrent should download just fine.

All of my torrents were by default set to download contents to my downloads folder on my C:\ drive. My C:\ drive is not large enough for this. I looked in the uTorrent help topics just in case and it states "Put new downloads in" specifies the default location that the contents of newly added torrent jobs will be downloaded to.

Try this to find your torrent files... there are many ways to do it, but this is a brute force way: get to a command prompt (RUN - CMD) type in. C: {enter} dir /s *.torrent {enter} if you have more than 2 dozen torrents.. you should add a /p. dir /s /p *.torrent. or make a text file out of the results.
Majority of my torrents over last 10 yrs download with no problems but I just downloaded a few torrents which won't download and I'm getting "Invalid URL" in utorrent Trackers tab and "DNS resolution failed for tracker" in utorrent Logger tab.
