Today I converted my Ender 3 v2 into a silent build. I replaced the 4.2.2 mainboard with a 4.2.7 mainboard and flashed the latest firmware (Marlin 2.0.8 CR non-adapter board firmware) from the official Creality website. The hotend, part cooling, mainboard, and PSU fans were all replaced with Noctua fans (2x NF-A4, 2x NF-8A).
Turned off the printer and removed the SD Card. Formatted the SD card to FAT32 to clear off the firmware and give a clean slate. Added a gcode file named test.gcode to the sd card. Put it into the printer's card slot. Turned on the printer.
Ender 3 v2 - Firmware WILL NOT Update. I've tried as much as I possibly can, but still can't get my printer to recognize the firmware files. I've formatted the card to FAT32, and proper allocation sizes, and have changed the names of the files to simple things like 'firmware.bin' or 'firmwarenew.bin' in case there are character limitations.
The actual printable size they sell is 220x220x250 in all ender 3 and its pro and v2 derivatives. The bed has 235x235 of which you can expand the actual print area to 230x230. As additional data in stock mode, up to 250 can be printed, but this implies that when it reaches the upper limit, the filament tube flexes and tenses too much ...

I have a simple firmware question. I have been running Jyers config for a year and a half now on my Ender 3 V2 and have been happy with it. I am using with a bltouch and have made minor tweaks to the config. My latest update was in 2/22. I am also running with Octopi on a RPi Zero/w V2 and have been very happy with the performance.
Alex just forked Jyers firmware to work on Aquila using similar changes as the one on this post. I personally needed custom Marlin firmware to run a print farm, and there was suitable Ender 3 V2 firmware. Using these changes, I was able to port the Ender 3 V2 firmware onto the Aquila.
To get to 230 x 230 you Auto-Home the printer, move the Z up a couple of mm's. Move the nozzle so it is 2.5mm from the left edge of the glass and 2.5mm in from the front edge of the glass. Drop the Z to zero. Hit "Set Home Offsets" on the LCD. Select "Save Settings" on the LCD.

I have the V4.2.2 motherboard and my firmware still says version 1.0.4. I just want to fix my printer and I'm freaking out and thinking I might need to replace it. Here is the creality version I used to update my printer. The three different bin files I've used are the two in this one. Ender-3 V2Marlin2.0.6.1V1.0.4HW_4.2.2_20210803.bin.
