If it still doesn't seem to work, try uninstalling and re-installing. If it's a game bought through steam, you'll install it using steam. Then launch Origin client, select that game in the library.... it'll show a 'download' button still. Click it, Origin will find the steam install and change the button to 'Play.'.
I am trying to download an older version of origin because i have windows xp. It shows it downloads and then when i click on it nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong? Sorry I am new to this gaming stuff and I am just trying to make it possible for my kid to play sims 4 on our desktop
But launching the game, the game kept crashing and is completely unusable. I've restarted, cleared my Origin cache, un-installed and re-installed Origin FOUR TIMES with 2 different web browsers. I've cleared the history from BOTH browsers (Chrome and Edge). Every other game I have on Origin works fine, and I downloaded another game successfully from Origin. It's 100% Sims 3.
I tried reinstalling origin, got the pop up window, and haven't been able to play any games. Most * up part is, my games will download when I have origin open, even with the pop up window up and forcing me to install EA, but the EA app refuses to download or update them due to low disk space. Nice try EA, not installing that app any time soon ...
I downloaded and replaced my Origin App with the EA App after updating to the 11th October Patch. Unfortunately it seems that my games files are still located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin.
