You can regulate lots of things but if you want a phone that will only talk and text, you're better off getting your child a basic phone.
The solution is exactly as I originally posted. I posted to The solution that actually worked for me to help others who might have the same issue. Thank you. Settings -> Accessability -> Voice Control -> off. Go to -> Settings -> Accessibility -> Speak Auto-Text -> turn it Off.

Microphone Xed out on talk to text When I am texting or searching the internet and hit the microphone under the keyboard, a icon pops up above the text box that shows a miniature microphone with an X in front of it and my voice is not picked up at all. The microphone works for speaker phone, FaceTime, etc, just not for talk to text.
